It's the second time it's managed to annoy me in a week, which is quite good going really.
I've wanted the Alan Scott one for years as he's one of my favourite DC characters, and I saw this for $50 on ebay. Thought, 'well, I'm going to get Alan one day anyway so might as well get Hal to go with him'.
Anyway, he's taken ages to get here and then on Monday I got an invoice for an additional £20 ($34) for VAT and import taxes on top of the shipping I'd already paid. If I didn't pay they were going to send it back.
With the extra charges it's cost me more than what the Harley Quinn cover girl would have cost, and that's the statue I actually wanted in the first place and put on hiatus for this 'cheap' alternative!
Anyway, photos soon. He's not a good looking statue to start with and the paint job makes it worse. They got green paint on the base and didn't bother cleaning it off! I had to leave him at work today as I was going to the theatre but he'll be up in all his glory tomorrow.
