Hot Toys make some great pieces, but I can't understand some of the 'second hand' prices. Especially the Predators . . . Crazy prices. Most I ever spend on a HT piece was $600, but that was for the Tumbler which is awesome.

well, there was also the case of the original Michael Jackson Billie Jean piece that skyrocketed after his death.... Many many times its original cost. Insane actually

Not all of the Iron Man are hot in the 2ndary market.

Particular Mark III. No love for that.

Mark I - high price
Mark II- high price
Mark III - not high
Mech Test version - not high
Gun Metal version of Mark III- pretty high

One thing I would say it's that, it looks like most of the women figures are not doing so well in the 2ndary market. Not much resale value. Not even Black Widow. Very low prices. I bought some of the ladies like Silk Spectre II, Silken Floss.

Yes, that was that one time.
There are still high priced Billie Jeans Hot Toys on Ebay. Nobody is biting so far anymore.

The 2ndary value for other MJ pieces are not so hot either now a days. Bad! version, Thriller version....mmm-mmm...not very high priced.

The Mark II will take a hit with the new one being released. I think the only one guaranteed to go up or hold it's value is the Mark I. All the other ones are fair game.

These are cool, but there is no way I would pay these prices, even at retail, for a 12" action figure doll.

I think this market will eventually crash due to the crazy frenzy going on with collectors trying to pick up what they think is rare, but with parts from China being offered on Ebay from original molds, it has to make you wonder how rare these really are.
