Anti-Virus: What do you use?
I use and highly recommend Microsoft Security Essentials and to top it off it's free!

Avast is pretty good too.
Complete with Majel Barrett Star trek Computer voice to inform you your virus database has been updated!

I used to have MSE on my PC and was completely happy with it until one day I could not update the virus database anymore (I kept getting error messages). Uninstalling it and installing it back again did not work so I switched to Avast and it was pretty good until one day I noticed that my PC was infected by some malware that Avast never ever noticed.
(I had to use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to get rid of it).
Nowadays I am using Comodo Internet Security and I am pretty happy with it. It's free, light on resources, has a great built in firewall and has kept my PC safe and sound ever since.
It's really good and I would recommend CIS to everybody.

McAfee is free with my U-verse account. I also use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Spybot for additional weekly scans... they catch a lot of adware and other crap that McAfee misses.
Of course, all of that didn't stop me from having a major issue recently. I picked up "something" that ultimately forced me to reload Windows, but I was able to retrieve my files. Considering I've had this computer for 5 years, that's not too bad.
