I like Mark Wahlberg as an actor but IMO he's told old for this part, they need someone younger so he can be around for the sequels 
I can't see the government putting 6 billion dollars into a 44 year old guy.... now a guy around 25-28 that makes more sense..
I am glad their going to make this a Drama instead of making a stupid comedy spoof (cough cough 21/22 Jump Street cough cough)

Watching the old show lately as COZI TV has been rerunning.
It was a very aviation friendly show. Austin often flying general aviation aircraft. I hope they stick with that, but I wonder if he will even be an astronaut/pilot this time around?

A 25 year-old Air Force full Colonel and astronaut doesn't seem very believable.
Maybe for the movie he should be a Cross fit instructor who has a terrible box-jump accident.

You're right but it seems every TV cop show, secret agent show, or legal or hospital drama stars a whole bunch of cute 22 year olds who can do everything... Drive me nuts sometimes. Takes me out of it... lol
