Tarantino's Hateful Eight

THR reports that Quentin Tarantino’s next Western will be called Hateful Eight, and while one source says that the film may start production this summer, another claims that no timetable has been set. There is no official cast, but evidently Tarantino will be working with casting director Victoria Thomas, the industry veteran who casted Django Unchained (and roughly 71 other titles), and a part has been written for Christophe Waltz, which would mark his third collaboration with Tarantino.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Don't blame the guy for feeling betrayed. I think he'll change his mind once he's had time some time to get over it though.

Read an article today that said he was going to film it in 70mm, too. Would have been cool.

That's enough to get me excited. They make a great team.

I for one am glad he won't be doing this next. I'd rather see him tackle a new genre than another Western immediately after Django Unchained. A Tarantino espionage spy thriller would be my preferred choice.

He should out the agency that screwed him. That's damn unprofessional. There needs to be some level of courtesy to the proprietary nature of original works. If you can keep things confidential, then you can trust them.

Kurt Russell says that Quentin Tarantino does indeed plan to shoot his western ‘Hateful Eight’, likely near the beginning of 2015.
