Way too many vertebrae (probably down to it being a digital sculpt) which is why they all look far too clean and perfectly scaled as they get smaller down the tail.

That's great for people who got theirs but I beg to differ. The company who made it are a bunch of shysters who didn't come through for a lot of collectors. I'm going on 4-5 years without my Queen from Secret Compass. Shane thankfully was able to get my money back. There was a huge hullabaloo on Facebook in 2018 between them and their customer service rep. A lot of bad things about the company were revealed and lots of folks never received their Queen or Transformers Dino. They sold peoples international preorders in their territory first then clammed up when years started to go by without a word on the international preorders. Shane had to message me every month for six months straight reassuring me it was on its way. Never got it. Most folks who did get their Queen had mass molding/production issues with holes and such in the polystone because of bad materials. One collector had his collapse on itself due to the support breaking taking out other pieces in his collection. Everything is still there on the Facebook page saved for posterity. Collectors pictures, damage and negative comments. There was a bunch of things said over on SS Freaks too.
I purchased their Shockwave through SC. Not only did the product come damaged pieces started to fall off after four years of it sitting under display glass in an air controlled room because of cheap glue. Top notch if you ask me for 3K.
Sorry if I seem snippy but a lot of folks got burned by this company. I won't give them a pass because they made an unlicensed product that copied an expensive kit that only few collector circles have, that turned out to be the closest thing to a "movie" Queen. There were businesses, "some still around today" in litigation with them over this mess.

Not a fan of the Mythos pieces. Just personal preference. Vader have you checked out the P1 Alien wall art pieces? Specifically the Queen wall art? Do you fancy any of those?

That’s a fair enough comment especially for those that got screwed over they acted very shady towards a lot of their customers and they deserve the negativity for that alone. But I still stand by the fact the product itself is very nice (at least mine is and by the sounds of it I was pretty lucky in that regards). I was around when the original statues came out (I think there were only around 10 or so made) and ever since then it’s been a true grail piece for me so to finally get my hands on one was amazing and in all honestly it didn’t disappoint when I finally got it.
Btw those original statues that came out were fully finished, a kit came out later after someone copied one. But none of it was licensed even the original statues.

It’s ok, I don’t actually mind the design, but it’s a poorly judged product. If there were far fewer alien products coming out it might have been an easier sell but there’s far too many other pieces to choose from, that and it’s overinflated price tag don’t help. They should have done the movie queen in 1:3 but still limited to 250 or so.

If you are a die hard movie accurate person, Vader, then yeah, the number of tail vertebrae is an issue, as is the size proportion of the Alien warriors on the base, compared to the Queen.
Otherwise, the SS piece is a great representation of the Queen, at a manageable size/shelf space use (not sure if that matters to you).

Oh I know all about those. I read about them when I ghosted SS Freaks. I barely mention them because of how rare, expensive and so far out of reach they are. Matrix took that kit and used it for their own that's why I was interested in the piece. I wanted it and didn't care how I got it. I read & learn from what you post in the ECC threads. You've helped me make a lot of movie monster decisions especially on the Gremlins pieces.
I think people need to know about the company before they take the dive though. Do me a favor and please keep your eyes on your Queen. The pieces that came broke on my Shockwave I fixed but there was one near his crotch that constantly broke even if you sneezed in the same room. That's why I had a cube made to put over him. I couldn't tell you when, but I'd notice non-broke pieces laying on his base at random and that's when the deterioration started. The person who's Queen support snapped had no issues prior to it breaking. His pictures should still be around on Instagram. I have the P1 Shockwave now. You don't want to know what happened with the Matrix piece. I think I paid for the most expensive 15 minute therapy session ever.

I'm not sure you even have to be a die hard fan to notice those two things. They are two glaring and easily avoided mistakes on an otherwise pretty nice statue (The warriors more so) I was hopping that Prime 1 would give us the ultimate queen, but now that we've seen it, I prefer Sideshows. Which makes the weird tale and tiny warriors even more annoying. That said I still prefer the older queen dio that SSC put out. I like the simple design, I may have to try and find one of those in future....
