I rated Deadpool a 7/10 on an earlier page. While I did enjoy it, I can think of quite a few other superhero flicks I enjoyed more.

I did rate it higher on my YouTube channel: 8/10. But it was mainly based on my first viewing. In that review, I expressed the same points Hellboy and many of you have mentioned in here. Now in retrospective and after watching it on Blu ray at home, I can see the flaws of my previous score.

YouTube-Deadpool Movie Review

Deadpool is an enjoyable movie at first viewing. It is different to anything we have seen before. It stays mostly accurate to the comic book character, minus the R rating, but it fails to have a compelling story. This is more evident when you try to watch it a second and a third time. It gets brownie points for staying true to the producers' vision and for trying to please the fans. But in the end, it is also a reflection of the character as a whole. Deadpool is a shallow character and the movie based on him is guilty of the same sins, regardless of what the fanboys say. A 6.5 to 7 score is more than enough.

not as bad as I thought it would be, not as good as it could have been with a few very small changes

I still find myself rooting for Rooney, Ferris was a little jerk and needed to be put in his place

Anomolisa - 7/10

Stop motion animated feature with dolls that get nekkid.

A little weird with all of the dolls having the same "manly" voice but there's a point to the story if you can hang in there. Jennifer Jason Leigh does a splendid job.

Probably because you are older now. I'm sure back then you rooted for Ferris.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
