I had no idea cinemas were even open.
Have to check how that works these days.

The New Mutants Thursday night box office take was $750K so movie theaters are open somewhere.

Heard it wasn't good...not as bad as the latest Dark Phoenix...but not good. I'll wait for Red Box for this one...if I decide to watch it.

I’m thinking it’s hard to translate this story unless you know the comic and even then it might not save the movie.
I will say that casting was damn decent for the characters. Especially Illyana.

Forgot all about this. Might catch it later on when people load scenes onto YouTube.

I saw it. Wasn't particularly bad or good. Sort of a generic teenage angst movie meets X-Men. Give it one watch. I'm surprised the critics are trashing the film since it features "stunning and brave" moments. I think this was originally going to be rated R and more scary/bloody. That would have been cool.

There was one other person in the entire screening so I felt okay about social distancing.
In terms of the film, I liked it, but I wouldn't necessarily tell people to rush out if they didn't have any emotional attachment.
There is a cheesy scene with Magik that I could see other people roll their eyes at that I absolutely loved and thought was 80s action movie glorious. I really hope she gets another go as the character in the MCU someday...
Overall a fun little action/horror flick with sweet moments. among the X-Men canon I'd put it above the junk (X3) but not at the level of the best it offers (Logan).

Your guys reviews give me hope. The movie never looked bad to me, and my gut has been right - Dark Phoenix and Apoc looked horrid from the beginning and they didn't fail to prove me right. I'm looking forward to watching this at home.
I can see this movie getting a cult following once people stop reading reviews.

I enjoyed this movie and even more having the entire theater to ourselves.
