I agree. I don't typically see the value in switch-outs for a statue. I might change it up in the first month or so, but then I settle on a display option and that's how it stays. And I usually know what that option is when ordering.
I don't really have any idea but I would've thought variants would provide greater profitability at this scale/price point (particularly if they're just colour changes).
The response to this piece seems overwhelmingly positive. They could, conceivably, include an alternate right arm holding a flower, vial of poison, etc, but I don't think that would significantly improve sales. Switch-out legs with tights/boots may spark additional interest but wouldn't selling two separate versions also capitalise on that demand, increasing yield, collectability and, possibly, quality?
