This side by side pic shows how much of a difference there is.

The statues jaw should be slightly more angled upwards, chin should not be as long, nose is more flat, upperlip should be more curved (concave outwards), and lower lip slightly pudgier. But this could all be due to lighting

True, likeness is never exact. I'm just picky as Maggie is my favorite TWD character, followed by Michonne (whose face wasn't exact but much closer in likeness)

To me it's almost a dead ringer.... You also have to take into consideration the pictures are showing two different expressions on her face

True. I am hoping to see better pics from GG's site. I would like to get this.

I think collectors need a reality check! These statues will always be an approximation of the character.....when you take everything into account, factory paint, miniaturisation, etc, to expect anything more than an approximation is completely unreasonable.

Now, I'm not saying it's impossible.....a trip to any quality 'Wax works' museum will attest to that fact.....but you all know what you'd need to pay for that, and the brush work certainly isn't done in a sweatshop in China for $0.02 an hour!

When the headsculpts are digital scans of the actor then you would think the likeness would almost be bang on.

Besides, have you seen HT and Blitzway headsculpts? The faces on those are fantastic.

The sculpt may be exact but the nuance of the texture isn't there, that may be a large part of it.

Yeah the whole scanning thing is fine but the paint although very good needs more refinement, detail, and texture. It's like that on the Black Widow too. I think Hot Toys, custom paint jobs, and a few others are really bringing out the detail and life like quality with some statues.

We need this up for PO. Actually, we need a Walking Dead piece to be shipped and inspected by the crowd. Hell, we need both.
