Escape From New York Remake

Joel Silver, Studio Canal To Reboot John Carpenter's 'Escape From New York' - Deadline.com

Stupid ******** Rebooting ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK With Origin Story| Badass Digest
Ridiculous nature of origin stories which were never needed in the first place.

Damn you Hollywood. Enough with the remake of classics.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I'm in the minority as I thought this flick rather lame. And remaking a lame movie is even lamer.

Bah!! The original is a great film, one of Carpenter's best IMO. Classic 80's cinema and one of Kurt Russell's best characters EVER!!

I'd rather see Carpenter and Russell revisit the character/material to make up for the travesty that was Escape From LA.

Completely agree. Snake Plissken without Kurt Russell isn't Snake Plissken.

i'm with the little guy, I never saw the appeal of the movie outside the always loveable Ernest Borgnine. and I will also add that Adrienne Barbeau is not an attractive woman, when I was a kid I always thought she was weird looking and I recently rewatched the movie thinking that in my adult years I would see why others found her attractive.... nope still weird looking.
