I haven't seen Suicide Squad yet. But I didn't think Affleck was the problem with Batman vs Superman. More the characterization. I've avoided posting my thoughts because I would probably give more thought to the movie than the people who made it.
I will say simply that an older Batman, who should be at least a passable detective at that point, didn't come off that well. Nor did Superman, who is a reporter who investigates stuff...
Anyway, I'm kind of feeling that a reboot might be needed though. Financial success or not. If both Wonder Woman and Justice League are poorly received, I don't see how they can continue.

As far as looks go I think Affleck has been the best on screen Batman yet.
Keaton and Bale are both great actors, they just never struck me as a good fit for the part. The others are very forgettable.

Just heard on the news Affleck wont direct AND act in this. No mention of director.

Considering Live by Night was financed by Warner Bros. I would say this statement isn't 100% accurate.
I'm sure the box office bomb shook their confidence in Affleck's ability to direct their most prized Bat franchise.

DC appears to be WB Achilles heel. The Flash Director and writers walk away. Flash rewrite and now Affleck walks away from directing Batman. A complete and utter ----ing mess. The last time Affleck directed and acted in the same movie it won an oscar. I do not believe a sentence of that statement.

I saw this video today. An excellent overview of the DC cinematic universe greatest flaw.

i just dont understand why theyre making this so hard, marvel has shown them the EXACT recipe for success... jesus its like theyre not only trying to reinvent the wheel but the rest of the car too
on the bright side, hopefully this will prevent Affleck from being stretched thin - they better get a competent director though :cough:georgemiller:cough:
