I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

What a massive liar and a cheat! I'm so annoyed, I even mispelled his surname in the thread title! Hope he gets taken to the cleaners, the narcissistic, sociopathic eunach!

Actually I'd say this is one of the biggest scandals in sports history. It's going to be news for years.

I guess cycling is a more popular sport in Europe than the US, especially in Belgium, France, Holland, Germany and the like. Armstrong's story was so inspiring - overcoming cancer to win seven tours, as he said in the interview, it was mythic. Its a massive letdown to find out it was all lies, not just for fans of the sport (like me), but for anyone who was inspired by his story. His charity is probably up sh!t creek now too.

Almost all sports figures are overpaid, overemphasized, over everything imo. There are many "ordinary" people who have over come much more trials than one of the most curable cancers than testicular cancer and gone on to do much good. Those are the prople who inspire me. Jmho.

I hear you. It wasn't just testicular though. He ignored the signs - being a cyclist, he was used to getting pains and niggles, so put his pain "down there" to being on the saddle for hours. By the time he got tested, it had spread to his lungs and his brain, so a pretty serious case of cancer no doubt. To not only survive that, but to come back better than he was before, was amazing. He also went on to do a lot of good with his charity. Its all tainted now.
