Comics are as much a visual medium as they are a story-telling medium. I got into comics as a kid for the art more than the stories, and the art is why I collect statues now. So it's natural for myself and others like me to be connected to the visual representation of characters we grew up with.
Very good point. I agree and understand about nostalgic connections to characters. I also know that the art goes hand in hand with the writing. With me I am mostly into the style of the artist. The costume/character design is important too though.
There are so many renditions of various characters in the same outfit,i would be broke if they made artists versions more often.
love everything except that half smirk. it doesn't show him trying . and whats more is they mention this was a fight with dark seid. with how dark seid omega beams is destroying the ground and lightning coming out fromthe flash at least give a better expression
I like it. I'm just not crazy about the new 52 armor look. Still very interested in seeing more. I think I'd rather have a Flash in action than a museum pose so this may be the one I get.
