Death of Inhumans

Anyone reading this ? I hope they won't kill Kamala... I have a recent interest in Inhumans thanks to Kamala. I got Paul Jenkins & Jae Lee HC and i will slowly start to know Inhumans better from there. I'm open to all kinds of Inhumans recommendation as well.

So far i got:
Inhumans by Jenkins
Inhuman by Soule
Ms. Marvel Omnibus by Wilson

And i will probably get:

Inhumanity by Bendis&Fraction
Uncanny Inhumans vol. 1 by Soule
Uncanny Inhumans vol. 2 by Soule

I like the older Inhumans stories. They’ve been terrible the last few years though. Just my opinion.

Yeah, The Royals series right ? i didn't hear good things about that book as well... I think they won't even make a hardcover edition of it, so i won't buy. If it's not HC, it's not worth my time... That's my personal QC logic lol

Not very good at all. If Marvel wanted to make the Inhumans as popular as the Xmen, or to replace them, it was a failure. If anything, they pushed people away.

I agree, going back to the Lee/Kirby days captured in the two Marvel Masterworks.

Yeah, I think the last time I really enjoyed reading about them was the War of Kings story. Wanted to like Infinity but it’s the story that set into motion all of the garbage that’s been coming out lately. Is Black Bolt the king again?

Those masterworks books are oop... I wish Marvel made an omnibus of Lee&Kirby run.

It's been a while, but I remember really liking Paul Jenkins & Jae Lee's Marvel Knights, 12 issue Inhumans run back in 98-99. It was one of those under-the-radar Marvel Knights books that few read at the time. Great story which sent ripples through the Inhumans' storyline which still effects today's storylines & characters. Gorgeous covers.

I've always liked the Inhumans, but it wasn't until the Jenkins/Lee series that they became one of my favorite teams.

Another one to check out is the 4-issue mini from 2000 by Carlos Pacheco and Jose Ladronn. The story is pretty good, and Ladronn's art is amazing - like Kirby crossed with Juan Gimenez. It's collected, along with their first appearances in the FF, as "Fantastic Four/The Inhumans".

The cover of the collected edition unfortunately features the FF only:

Even when I was a kid reading Inhumans "guest-star" spots in other books, I always knew that Blackbolt was one of Marvel's Bad-A$$es. He's a very cool, almost-dark character.

This Team-Up really stands out!
