Association Football
"Free expression of football. Uncategorisable. Is that a word? It is now! You know? Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that. Marvellous."
As per ACM's request, here's a thread to discuss the version of football that involves actually using your feet more than 2% of the time, and without several layers of protective padding.
So please discuss goals, penalties, offsides, red cards and what not.
Personally, I'm more of a rugby man .... :tounge:

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Excellent results for Chelsea & Liverpool tonight (although hard work for Liverpool)!
I'm going to Old Trafford tomorrow night (first time ever!) to see Man Utd against Villarreal, let's hope the results are as good as tonight.

Thank you, for doing this.
Rugby is coolio. A real man's man sport.
But I'm a former Referee (2 levels below Professionel) and I love Football.
I miss playing, coaching and reffing.
I try to follow the Great Britain & Italian Leagues/Associations as best I can from here.
