Star Trek TOS Remasters
I know these were finished back in 2008, but I've only been catching the Remastered Trek on ME-TV on Saturday nights. Man, I'm usually against re-touches but I think CBS Digital did an outstanding job on the original series, especially with the space shots. It feels almost like I'm watching a new Star Trek, especially since it's been a few years since I last enjoyed them. What do you all think of the remastered components?
Updated Doomsday Machine -
Has anyone checked out the TNG remasters?

TOS is the only series I don't have on DVD. Mostly because of the weird shape cases they made which didn't really fit on my shelves. I'm gonna have to check these out.

They're airing now on the ME-TV station. NBR3, you'd probably also like this station. They show lots of classic, old stuff. Saturday nights are especially fun.

I have all three seasons of TOS on blu ray and everything looks outstanding. Even the non SFX scenes are all cleaned up and look really clean and crisp. You also get the option of watching each episode in the remastered version or original version. The discs also come in a standard shaped multi disk Blu Ray case.
I highly recommend the blu ray sets.

I have the TOS on bluray and absolutely love the remasters. The updated effects were done very tastefully and many times not really changed too much from the original. Very good stuff.
The TNG remasters look great as well, although I haven't gone too deep with those yet.
I'm hoping they do DS9 next, love that show!

You know that you can buy replacement cases and even download artwork for the replacement cases.
I've never heard of the case keeping someone from buying the film or show.

I just discovered this station also, about a week ago. They had an episode of the Twilight Zone on, definitely worth checking ME-TV out.
