Good point. I wish I could answer that.

That's what makes me skeptical of this rumor :P They could sell it themselves at discount, and for the few that do hang around they are STILL hanging around.

Ha, I was just looking for this the other day to see if it had gotten cheap so I could gift it to my sis that loves frogs, and nope, still way more than I would pay for it.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

During the last Next Level event Prime 1 had said that they would introduce some "affordable" statues by means of offering them in 1:4 scale.
I thought they were finally being smart and sensible. Unfortunately, judging by the pricing of their 1:4 scale John Wick statue, it simply isn't the case at all.
That casts a shadow on their entire line of 1:4 scale statues. I don't think they could deliver them with the price point that collectors are hoping to see.
They have defeated the whole idea of offering 1:4 scale statues in their line-up by pricing them way higher than they should have been.
I was really stoked by their Ross trinity thinking they would be "affordable". I thought I would support it. Now, I am not sure at all.
No way I would pay $899 + shipping + tax for each statue. They might as well keep them in their warehouse when they become available.
To answer the question " How can Prime 1 possibly plan to sustain itself at this rate?!", I don't think they can simply because they can't stop themselves from being greedy.

Greedy and cheap as well. I was sort of disgusted when I realized that they are one of the MOST expensive statue companies out there, and they're still using pretty cheap Styrofoam and tape. Other companies, and even custom companies, that are considerably less expensive, are using straps and higher quality foam now.
For example, I've been watching the 1/3 Nier Automata unboxing videos for this $2,400.00 statue and they're still using cheap styro and tape. SMH.

Yeah some companies have went above and beyond on packaging, but Prime 1 isn't one of them.

Wow, $900 for basic 1/4 now? WTH. As of now, the only Prime piece I have is the 1/3 JH. I'd say everything else in my collection is SS, ECC and custom with a random piece from XM and QS.

If I am remembering right, even SS is using straps on their "normal" 1/4 pieces. The noir Spiderman I got had straps (I think). The only affordable line from Prime is their minions line, lol. If I had a lot more space, I would have probably bought most of those.

For real, dunno if SS is but p1 needs to get on this train. It's not even that expensive to go to straps....

I wouldn't call their Wick basic, but overpriced sure. Still their 1/4 Wick, or Cammy, or whatever are very pricey they are still far and above the for example normal SS 1/4. Or even the 1k SS 1/4 like their new overpriced captain rex

Yes, they are using straps on all of their newer pieces.
