From reading Joystiq.com it seems that the main character is a Father who has hit upon hard times.

Edit: the trailer is up:

The trailer is good, it's no Miami Vice, but it's realy nice and smooth. I like it.

The setting and the music is the buy or no buy point for me with these GTA titles. Vice City flat out rocks. At first, I was out after seeing the GTA5 trailer. But the game is supposed to be modern day so I'm curious about the music and how wild they will make things in California.

70's California would have been cool.

Or a GTA game in San Francisco as in that series with a young michael Douglas that would have been cool too.

Modern music, I'm not into mordern music.

I feel like GTA SA had a SF section, no?

If GTA San Andreas had a San Fran section I did not feel it.

Maybe I don't know San Fran well enough.

Anyway both games are cool.
The first GTAIII in Liberty City

But indeed both are great

Anyway the trailer was amazing, for an open world game the details were awesome, it just seems that Rockstar still have some problems with the animation of the characters, always a bit rigid in my opinion...

But can't wait to see more!..

apparently they'll be using the facial capture technology that they used in L.A. Noire which would be amazing as that looked awesome.

I just hope they make the missions a little more varied instead of all the samey stuff. Also get rid of all the stupid Internet cafe and dating crap they put in GTAIV

I loved GTAIV, but the whole phone/friends thing sucked hard. The controls haven't aged well either. I hope they go with something closer to what they had in Red Dead Redemption.
