I sold mine. It was a great piece, but IMHO did not surpass the original.
And he looks like Don 'The Dragon' Wilson lol.

Wow, now that you've mentioned it.
Luckily, as a kid i was a fan of his movies
I actually prefer the re-visit by a fair bit.

You had the Tatakai Koka one right Jopp? That one is better.
I just have the Ansatuken EX. The teeth and the yellow Gi needed to be finished better on production pieces.

Yes, I had the Tatakai and Original Ryu. Of the two I preferred the original Ryu. However, the revisit is a very cool statue. Especially with the Udon portrait.
But I've shifted my collection, and would prefer 1/3 and 1/4 SFV statues.
So 1/4 Ryu hit the road to make room for 1/3 Ryu. But I will buy a SFV 1/4 Ryu if Jerry makes him.
And I'm open to SF pieces that move me. Like this E.Ryu.

Ah so you sold both Ryus? The yellow Gi on the Ansatuken is just too frustrating for me. It totally works though with the dirt for the Tatakai Koka.
Did you get Reg Ryu 1/3 too or just 1/3 beardy?
I get what you mean by "move me". What grabs my eyes are usually the statues I like best even if they don't fit a collection criteria.
This convo makes me think of something else I've been wondering about as far as other collectors.
Was this E. Ryu from a printed file, completely sculpted from the ground up, or some amalgam between the two?

Sorry I'm just a bit confused today.

Sorry I missed a word. Acrylic teeth on evil ryu. I'm not too happy with the latest Ryu they released, the teeth are overpainted.

Oman if they can execute acrylic on this 1/4. It will par up greatly with the 1/3 evil Ryu, whose teeth are made with acrylic.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

To my knowledge (from MM line), starting with ~Sagat, Alex, Dhalsim, Balrog, Gouken, Ryu revisit, Honda, Oro, Blanka, were simply digital sculpts. Then Nash and Ken were from SFV game files. But now Oni and Evil Ryu are plain digital sculpts again, since they're not in SFV.
