Has anyone yet received what they consider to be an okay piece?!

Kind of reminds me of the time when the Iron Studios Spider-Man piece was released.

I received mine today but opening it tomorrow. If it has as many issues as others are saying, it is going back. These statues are too expensive these days to accept a shoddy product.

Mines definitely an OK piece, everything about it i like apart from how the lightning fits and the lack of magnets and pins to make it fit....like i say just those tiny things added would have avoided the issues imo.

As for paint,s they are pretty good on mine, i do have some issue with the elbow joints where gold is meeting red, it is a little sloppy.... but everywhere else is pretty clean. Also none of the pieces i received were broken.

There is just an overwhelming feeling, especially with how the lightning is handled, of Prime 1 kind of phoning it in, which i never ever thought i would say about them.

I'm gonna crack out the hair dryer after i do my video review because i want to present it how i received it but i will update once i do the fixes.

Mine is number 400-something out of 500. Not sure about a 2nd batch.

Apparently the es numbers are distributed randomly, so they aren't really an indication of the batch.

My piece already shipped, goddamn.

My guess is the issue is with transport. Temperature and material, things will change and without real magnet connections I don't think batches will change anything. But we will see.

Just got in touch with SSC. Apparently there is only one batch for the EX. The problems I've seen so far are sloppy paintwork, one horrible portrait, bolts not fitting (can be fixed by heating), no magnet in the neck for the portrait and the foot not fitting in the base.

Hoping all the bad apples are already distributed and I luck out for once

Set mine up today. Overall, I am happy BUT some of the previously mentioned issues are present.

Paint is a little sloppy in a couple spots but they aren't readily noticeable. Also, I have two lightening bolt spots that really don't fit. The good thing is both spots aren't too noticeable.

My art box even looked rough.

This was my first Prime 1 statue and overall, I am a little bummed. I think they obviously care more about their 1/3 scale pieces.

Here are some Apple iPhone pics.
