Wolverine X-Belt Variant..Paid $300 sold for $200

I had about 5 sales I broke even on, but I did that just to get rid of them for other stuff..could have gotten more but did not want to wait.

I don't flip but watching some of these statue and bust prices tank over the years hasn't been fun. Nothing like paying $300 for a statue and having to sell it for 1/2 as much--especially because a new version has come out. I keep thinking I should sell some of these top dollar pieces like Cable on Sentinel, Soulfire Grace platinum, and a whole bunch of SS excl. PFs and dios, before it's too late--'cuz yeah I know one day they'll be worth a fraction of today's prices.

I decided beginning of this year to sell off anything that was worth a nice penny. Not only to pay hospital bills but to get decent money for items that will wind up dropping in price soon. And with recent prices and certain items coming out, i am so glad i did it while i could. Now im sitting on a few remaining busts that are selling for peanuts that i need to clear out.

Even tho my PC Akumas are worth like 2 grand, and they are my holy grails, i would part with them for top dollar if someone is willing to pay it.

I had something like that happen too - I bought a page for $175 - it didn't even sell - for $50 cheaper. Then I put up another page instead - I paid $150 - it sold for $85. What is it about McG's work on the after market?

The Exclusive Thing PF that I sold last month is easily my worst flip ever.

Bought it for like $300 plus shipping, sold it for $169.99, it supposedly arrived with the leg detached. UPS denied the claim on it and sent it back to me in even worse condition with the pants missing and then charged me $30 for the return shipping.

Now I got this giant box with a broken pantsless statue in it sitting in my dining room.

This is a quiet pet-peeve of mine w/ this hobby. You think you were "on it" 'cause you were savvy and early enough into this hobby to buy the original BD FF collection, the Daredevil Yellow, the 1st Cap FS or the painted Silver Surfer and then.....the same characters get slated for re-do's or have been done to death within a few years. I pointed out BD, but you can say the same about any company....Oh, well.
