Others from the 80’s you may enjoy..

My favorites..
  • Legend
  • Dragonslayer
  • Excalibur
  • Conan the Barbarian
  • Willow
  • Beastmaster
  • Clash of the Titans
Others..
  • Fire and Ice
  • The Warrior and the Sorceress
  • Deathstalker
  • Red Sonja
  • Conan the Destroyer
Fire and Ice was amazing!!! I don't know where this movie has been hiding my whole life but damn it was awesome. Frazetta and Bakshi is an epic combination, they are both amazing and even more so together! Darkwolf was a complete bad-ass, definitely a combination of Death Dealer and I was also getting Batman vibes as well. The animation was very well done, and the painted backgrounds were breathtaking, such a joy to watch. If you can recommend anything else like this movie I'm all ears! im very surprised this wasn't on your 'favorites' list!

Glad you liked it. It’s a pretty unique film. Only reason I didn’t put it on my favorites list is due to how long it’s been since I’ve seen it. I think I’ll revisit it soon. Classic 80’s fantasy.

Star Wars - A New Hope
8.5/10

The Empire Strikes Back

Return of the Jedi

I have just watched all three movies again. I've seen them at the cinema. I've seen them on DVD. This time i watched something called The Despecialized Editions on Blu-ray.

Since it has been a while since watching these classics, and it is good to see how well they hold up. Sure the special FX are getting more and more dated as time moves on. The fact remains, the stories hold up, and Harrison Ford as Han Solo fits the role perfectly. When it comes to the slightly iffy ROTJ, the still don't like the Ewoks, the Imperial speeder bike Trooper helmet design or the two legged walkers.

I spotted a slight goof today i had never spotted before.
When Luke and Vader exit the lift en route to see The Emperor, i couldn't help but notice the amount of dust/hair? on Vader's usually clean shiny black head gear

I have still yet to watch the official Blu-ray releases, complete with added FX. I will check those out at some point.
