What the heck!? Just got this email - been waiting for years for this to ship too:

Well, it had already been canceled and re-solicited in November so... Guess the pre-orders were way too low. Did the security battle droid get released?

Yep - I received an email from a retailer on the Security Droid as well. Too bad as I was really looking forward to putting together a little army 
Maybe I'll have to track down a case of the regular ones and customize them myself

I'm sure that would be rather inexpensive to do, not a bad idea. This is probably why they didn't sell as well, too simple a re-paint for those prices.
