I'm seeing $399. You could probably get it for $100 less than that too through a dealer. Not my bag though.

$399 is the introductory price. Reg. is $499. Either way it's still expensive for a plastic figure.

NECA's 18" figures are usually in the $80 range. I wonder how GG came up with their price.

Thumbs down

Not interested. Knew it would be over-priced when you're talking GG lately. Guess that 3D imaging ain't cheap. Who's asking for this crap anyway? Seems like a waste of time to me. Efforts could be better placed elsewhere IMO as far as the alien license is concerned.

Their reasoning is probably that pristine copies of the original Kenner figure (with box) can top $1,000 - so they're hoping a 'half-priced' and over-sized pristine repro will appeal to that market.

If GG were more specific about edition size (it's only tagged as 'Limited Edition'), then perhaps the pricing would have some logical basis - but even if only 200 were made I'd still argue it to be horribly over-priced.

I mean, even Neca's 18" Big Chap from a few years back was well under $100 when released, and that's still a very impressive figure. Indeed, Neca's recently released Series 2 Alien + Aliens figures may well see upscaling to 18", which would make GG's pricing on their Kenner Repro even more ridiculous.
