Splendid. I knew there was something about you I liked. What a bunch of homophobes. It's called humor PCS. Look it up.

Anyway, armor is a non issue at this point. It has much less relevance in this game than any other DS game so feel free to switch it out if you have to. Taking 10 more points of damage for the ability to fast roll isn't even a question.

First priority would be to grab yourself a Black Knight Shield, it has very high fire resistance so you can pretty much turtle the entire fight, especially if you are a caster.

This boss is also weak to bleed, so be sure to stock up on Carthus Rouge if your weapon is buffable. Also, as with most bosses that fall into the "giant beast" category, stay as close as possible and between his legs where most of his moves cannot hit you and you can freely unload your stamina bar and have time to retreat and block if need be before repeating the process.

Not sure of your Int./Faith levels, but I would suggest Dark Magic spells like Affinity and Great Soul Dreg if your stats permit. In any case make sure you have the Young Dragon Ring and the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring to boost your sorcery damage output.

Remember that one of the demons will go into a cool down period during the first phase of this fight, use this time to apply the above strategy, and when both are chasing you down fall back on your shield and casting more.

Try to down the Demon from Below first also as his move set changes in the final phase depending on which one you killed first. The fire variation has easily telegraphed attacks and all of his fire spells can easily be rolled and strafed out of.

Hope this helps.
Thanks a log for the great advice and strategy, damienjakk.

Yeah, in NG+. This is my 4th time playing it again.

I was thinking of removing my armor and now I will. I do hang about the legs but I try to strike at the head as much as I can but this is usually where I get killed with the final demon.

I am pretty sure my Int/Faith levels are high enough for all the castings.

thanks again.

Keep some form of armor, just be sure you can fast roll though. I suggest the Outrider Knight set, it's a fairly light armor with good resistances, you might be able to fast roll while wearing it.

And if your Faith and Intelligence are high, definitely go for Dark Sorcery over standard as it hits like a truck. Just be sure to use the Izalith Staff as it has the best scaling with dark casts. Also be sure to grab the Great Soul Dregs spell at the very beginning of the Dreg Heap section of the DLC. That should be your go to spell for this fight, and Affinity when you are behind your shield.

Thanks. OK, the Intelligence (38) level is 2 shy so couldn't equip either the Affinity or Great Soul Dreg.

Will try the Outrider Knight set.

Thanks again.

You can always respec with Rosaria, shaving a point off Vigor and Attunement shouldn't mess the build up too much.

Are you on PS4? My Luck/Bleed build is at level 199, I could help you with the fight if you like.

I'm not really sure what my luck/bleed is. DS3 is my first DS game so I still don't know all the lingo. I know my overall level is 201. I should screen capture my specs and post for you to see. Thanks for the offer to join. I may just take you up on the offer.

Bleed scales with luck, as does hollow. My main weapon is Anri's Straight Sword which has natural luck scaling built in. While leveling luck I not only increased it's natural scaling, but it's bleed capability as well. On top of that my character is at 99 hollowing which also scales with these stats. Finally, Anri's Straight Sword is also enchantable and buffable, so by applying something like Carthus Rouge I increase the bleed burst even faster.

I've been messing with the Corvian Great Scythe, and despite it being much slower than a straight sword, it has greater range and the bleed burst effect kicks in even faster. I tried it out today in the DLC and I completely shredded the Gravetender/Wolf boss. I was a bit hesitant at the beginning, but once I realized the potential damage output and went in on the wolf it was a complete massacre. I didn't even realize he was dead in the final moments of the fight.

I've been changing my swords and was using the Black Knight ultra and Broadsword infused with hard edge stone (something like that) and level 10. Now, as I fight these demons, I am using only Fume Ultra and was surprised I could use Carthus Rouge with it but can. The weapon is big and slow and I only get 2 whacks with it until my endurance is drained but I find it more effective than the other weapons I used.

I've seen a lot of players use the Corvian Great Scythe and watching your video I see why. I may try it.

Thanks for the video too. You put me to shame. It makes me see how amateurish I am.
