Yeah unfortunately even though I have a very big house I don't keep my collection room off limits to my kid because it is a media room, my wife did finally allow me to start displaying pieces downstairs, and she bought her first one, the Wonder Woman pf (and before I get told how strict she is for not allowing me to have stuff downstairs I get all upstairs to myself for my workspace/collection/movie-tv shows on dvd and blueray wall display/and gym over 1500sqft...so I am plenty happy with letting her have downstairs to decorate how she wants and adding stuff from my world is just icing on the cake).
After collecting for 25+ years I change my styles of collecting, and nude statues/art was in my teens to mid twenties phase, I had the books, the art prints, comics, statues etc, but I get to the point where my preferences change, to me and my opinion to just more classy, teasing, covered up tasteful artwork.

I find this discussion perplexing, do you wish to also cover up the nude statues that are located around the world in public squares and museums?
Anyway this is all rather irrelevant, the statue is as is and people shouldn't be trying to convince them to change it.

It was that way pretty much when I was married, I was given only the basement. Now that it's behind me, I enjoy having my pieces in every room of the house.

no i just dont want to display them in my house without being called uptight.
and i never expected them to change it, just shared my distaste of displaying nude statues, than being called out as a prude basically, which is far from the case, as i said i will still gladly buy this but i am modifiying it for what i want in my display/collection.

well i wasnt given it, just trying to be fair as we both put in for the mortgage, if i really wanted to i could push for other display areas, i just know my wife wouldnt like it, so i dont push for it. however i already said once i start creating larger pieces, i will display in other areas.

I get the whole kids/wife issue, I really do, even as a single guy I wouldn't show nude statues, not that I would look down anyone who would. I think everyone has their limits (line in the sand) on the type of statues they would display. For me though this new Mandy statue is right on that line, if she had "naughty parts" showing then I would pass but given she is covering herself up with strategically placed arms and a pillow I don't technically consider it a "nude statue"..... But I can understand why some people would as the statue is naughty in nature even with her covering up her "naughty parts"
It's like Horror statues, I won't collect those as I do have a lot of family that comes over now and then and having demonic monsters or zombies displayed can give my young nephews and nieces nightmares when they visit... So I avoid those.... Like I said everyone has their limits when it comes to what they collect and there is nothing wrong with that.

Seriously people, you worry too much, i saw japanese statue which are very explicit and disgusting, Mandy is "classy nudity". A pin-up.
It would bother me to show my collectin if i only had nude women but that's not the case, she will fit perfectly in my collection, between my Aliens and my DC ^^
Electric Tiki you have done an excellent job, keep her like this !

Oh, come on.
Just because someone prefers not to display nude statues around their kids doesn't mean they want all nude art covered up.
I don't think that is "perplexing" at all.
