yea. Although, really its just a glorified swap meet. Im never really impressed with it.
quick SOB story.
My cousin married her 4th husband a few years back. And he had a son from a previous marriage who lived with his mother.Hes 7 or 8 Well my cuz had 2 boys of her own. This new kid is boardline "special needs". Last year his mother just ups and moves out of state and calls from Philly to tell the dad "you can keep him"
well, normally I give all my comics to all 3 boys. so when the Portland show came last year, I thought it would nice to show him some extra attention. Told him we would take him for a special surprise.
We get to the show, and I have never seen a kid sulking so bad while surrounded by toys, comics and superheroes stuff.
I asked him if he was having fun and he said no. I offered to buy him anything at the show, and he said no. I then told him "I can buy you a pile of comics to read" which he answered with:
"I didnt even read the last ones you gave me"
oops!!!
so we were there for about 15 minutes and left. I was mad. Not at him, just that I didnt get to stay longer.
So, long answer, yes, Im going this year, and Im not bringing any damn kids.
