cant go wrong with either but i have not received swamp thing yet so i can only attest to how impressive bane is in person. as presented i would answer the question based on your collection - if you have more batman related characters / dc villains (BANE) if you have just a general collection of iconic characters (SWAMP THING)

food for thought... if you dont mind mixing scales or have a spot for 1/3 scale piece or even one - pick up the SS swamp thing then grab the P1 bane when it releases, its only a few hundred more than the P1 ST

Since I have no connection to either character and I've seen both in person I'd go with Swap Thing

Bane 10 times out of 10. Bane is a BEAST.

It probably is really going to come down to which stories you connect more to that will make the statue that much more important to you.

If your a batman fan and going for that theme and dig the Bane stories cool. If you connected more with Alan Moore's stories of swamp thing then go with him. I would use that logic with making a decision.

Bane all day. I regret sending mine back. I'll pick him up on ebay down the line.

I'm not a fan of both but look at the edition size

Swamp Thing
Exclusive: 250
Collector Edition: 500

Bane
Exclusive: 800
Collector Edition: 1500

Swamp Thing is more vinyl as polystone ... you have to like that.
But if you want to have both at some point I would now take the one with the lower edition size.

Bane more impressive but I don’t think you’ll ever see a licensed Swamp Thing in this scale again.

I own both and their great. Both have minor flaws but nothing that should stop one from buying. If I were to keep only one it would be the Swamp Thing, the pose and sculpt are much more impressive and we’ll probably never see another produced.

You buy the one you like more. Period. The edition size shouldn't factor into your decision. It's irrelevant. At least in my eyes.
