After the collapse of this civilization, archaeologists of the future will come to the conclusion that Batman, Wolverine and Spider-Man were gods of our primitive society, such is the remarkable array of sculpts devoted to them. And of course, they would be correct!

I was thinking the same thing jdh. as I was going through DC's Comic Comic notes, seems every other comic is Batman related..... however is slowly moving away from Wolverine, but that may only be while F4 is in the theaters, but as we move closer to to X3 ole' Logan will be tops again..

I beg to differ Azog. Logan will never top Spidey in Marvel. Its a battle between Batman and Spidey which is almost 40 years old at this stage.

What brought it to mind a bit for me recently was how surprised I was to see Batman and Wolverine sculpts in the Iron Sculptor contest.

A reason for Spidey not getting done is he is so hard to get right. The webbing and the eyes are rarely done right.

To be honest, I hadn't expected to see any characters already in production by any company - I thought there would be more Forbush Man-type characters. But then I didn't pay close attention to the rules, not being a sculptor.

But you are right on Spidey, though. Sometimes the simplest looking things are the hardest to get right. Spidey's eyes, Peanuts characters...

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I don't know for certain--but this certainly looks like a kotobukiya sculpt. The colors and the "ridges" in the cape and the musculature look right. I've got the three they've put out so far--love 'em.
