Can't tell if this post is sarcasm. If anything I would say the "variant" mermaid is an anomaly as it's really their "exclusive".

SS doesn't always state when they are doing variants. They certainly didn't do it for:

Black Widow Reg --> Black Widow White Suit

Storm Original Costume --> Storm White Suit

Dark Phoenix --> Green Phoenix

Catwoman Modern --> Catwoman Balent

Batman PF --> Batman Modern Age

I can see an X-Force Wolverine coming out when SS makes a Domino statue to follow the hype of Deadpool 2.

Plus the X-Force comics were great. The Sex & Violence was stellar feature on Domino and Wolvie.

SS doesn't always state when they are doing variants. They certainly didn't do it for:

For a moment I'd forgotten about all the x-variants. Also was thinking of mermaid and i believe they announced their variant for spidey up front too.

In my opinion.....

This looks like a great sculpt but Sideshow and some of the other premier statue companies are also coming up with more great sculpts. This is a costume that I just don't like but again great sculpt. If I bought this now based on sculpt for a character considered as staple as bread and rice, there will be a statue sooner or later that meets my taste and not a fan of the sales process. But if this is your costume design, this is your guy.

This is best wolverine I'm not blown away by XMs brown wolverine at the moment. It will cost a tonne but I have to see finished product. This wolverine has best portrait to date and an amazing pose , for that I bought it. I love that it's diff modern take on the costume. He doesn't wear brown or tiger striped old school suits anymore anyways

He hasn't worn any costumes for the last 2 years. He was dead. All he's wearing now is tank tops and leather jackets. We have yet to see what he'll be wearing costume wise in the near future. This new PF does have many elements of his Astonishing costume. Personally, that's why I think it looks so good.
