The series is set 20 years after Jean-Luc Picard's last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002). - from wiki

I wonder how much involvement Patrick Stewart will actually have in the series. The man is almost 80.

As long as they incorporate Riker and Q, I'm all good.

As a big lover of Star Trek, I still feel The Wire is the best TV series of all time.

I hope so!

I’d start the show with Q causing trouble somewhere. He says he will destroy some planet unless he can talk to Picard. Picard comes out of retirement and Q ends up needing Picard’s help to save his son from some new powerful alien race. Q tells Picard he wants the old crew back for one last adventure to help him out. They go pick up everyone on the new Enterprise and while trying to save Q’s son they encounter all kinds of stuff over 20 episodes against this new powerful race who want to destroy the universe by using the power of Q’s son. Etc etc. . Done. Easy as that to bring them all back but it won’t happen....probably have a bunch of new useless characters with no chemistry.

Fingers crossed we get some type of reunion, lord knows we didn’t in Star Wars...

I am pretty sure this is a limited series they are using to promote their streaming service. More than likely a two or three season run but I am pretty sure I read it is a limited series production.

Yeah he is 78... but I think it will depend on his health and ratings... if the show ends up being really popular and he stays healthy I could see the show going 4-5 years...
