Does the exclusive run over 1000? I don't see many come up for sale... last one on eBay went about 2600, but there's no feedback, so don't think it really sold for that... and their prices seen to be a bit higher.

on ebay? depends who's bidding...a broken reg went for 355 recently.
not too sure about Vega pricing, i was asking akumakiller his opinion cuz i was curious.
you could probably find a better deal on one from someone on this forum than on Ebay.

Short answer, no.

Good question though. I added the Vega revisit to the mixed-media line back before the Ultra line was announced. At the time, Jerry confirmed another Vega was coming, I believe with a sketch that ended up being the Ultra. However, Jerry has also said that every character before Sagat would see a revisit. It's probable that he just meant a revisit to a character in ANY line, but with enough time, I'm sure there will be a revisit specifically to the mixed-media line eventually.

Essentially, I just haven't removed the mixed-media revisit because details to the contrary haven't surfaced. Just like the other revisits in the planning stages, Jerry has said they're coming, but which line they end up coming to first is the question.

Oh I see. I'm thinking that if Vega is revisited in the Ultra line that he might not appear in mixed media again for a while. Jerry said only 1 revisit per year but that's confusing considering it takes 1.5-2 years for a statue to be released.

Yeah I still like the original over the new Vega.

To each their own
They will both have pros and cons I'm sure, I like the new face sculpt over the old and I think the metal claws will see less issues, big issue too is availability and price, I'll grab a mix media someday, when the price is right.

I've been meaning to ask for a while now, why was the sakura statue cancelled? Just mild interest? Couldn't really seem to find an answer with the search...so many posts with sakura in them.

Firstly, when Jerry talks about "per year", he's just talking about the actual pre-order taking place.

Secondly, Jerry said one mixed-media revisit per year. But a "revisit", as in doing a character that has already been done in the mixed-media line, but for a different line this time, could add up to several character revisits per year.

For example, this year, 2015, we've already gotten Akuma revisited in 1:3, Vega revisited in the Ultra line, and Ryu will probably be up for PO later this year in 1:3. The second statue in the Ultra line could also wind up being a revisit (Jerry recently posted an action pose for Cammy).

Thirdly, you're probably right that a mixed-media Vega would be delayed since the Ultra is coming. Only the most popular characters warrant multiple releases a year. PCS probably wants to diversify if the character isn't "top tier".
