I first thought, nah... Can't be that much, but yep! You were bang on, it's $1000 down.

Ugh. I can?t commit that much for a year plus of waiting. I have like $3,000+ in NRDs and I have less than 10 statues on order. It?s very frustrating.

It's $1K for just deposit and $850 down in you go payment plan for 19 months. The monthly payments are $130.

Little wonder why so many collectors are being priced out of this hobby.

Honestly for items I'm 100% sure on I have no issue with paying large upfront deposits, as I'm going to have to pay it sooner or later. Most times I've already put the money aside when I decide to preorder. But for those pieces I'm less sure on I only wish that the NRD could be a portion of these larger deposits rather than the whole amount. So while I would pay the full required deposit, if I were to cancel I wouldn't lose like 30% of the full item cost, but somewhere closer to 10%.
But it does add up quick as to date I’ve got about $14K USD out in the wild, though a portion of that is for the Queen WW bust that has been paid in full.

A 30% NRD, that is steep. No wonder I don't hear much complaining about SS's 10% NRDs, pretty tame by comparison.

The problem, in my mind, is trust. If I strongly believe the company will deliver what I'm basing my purchase on (e.g the prototype) - then a large deposit isn't necessarily a problem.
But if it's one of these, many, companies, who revel in the "bait and switch" game of "the final product may vary" - bullsh*t - then, I'd never pay such a high deposit....never.
In fact, for those companies I wouldn't give them a deposit full stop.
I think we collectors have been far too forgiving and "understanding" of these companies, and many of them have taken advantage of that goodwill to produce statues that are "good enough" or, in some cases, an outright insult.
Of course, all of this is my subjective opinion - I'm not trying to stir up any drama. In general I think Queen Studios is one of the few companies you can have some faith in. If we were talking Sideshow or Prime1 - yeah, I'd be very careful giving them your money upfront.

How are you all storing this thing?
I was looking at the dimensions, looks like it's about 27.5 inches in both depth and width? Oof... Lol. I kinda want this but I'm not sure I want to buy custom shelving to fit it and I think I'd have to?

Garage shelving from Lowes or Home Depot. Works perfectly for my P1 Transformers.

I was looking into those as well but the ones I've seen are all 24" depth for the largest sizes.... This piece is 27.5" inches, I'm worried it won't quite fit? I'll keep looking, maybe there's more here that I've missed (sooo many returned, Holy...).
