I don't know if anyone else has been wstching the Sideshow videos but in the ssk the fans video Susan mentions tha Phasma will be chrome plated for those thst wanted that.

I remain doubtful. they may do a bit here and there but to actually chrome the whole thing (not paint) would be very expensive and likely have a high failure rate.

Chroming can be done cheap and would cut production time. No shading. No colour variation. They could throw all the armor pieces into a room and just do this:

Easy, cheap, and fast.
If they went with real chromed metal elements (unnecessary to get the desired effect) it could get more costly but really...we get die cast car pieces for a fraction of cost with fulll chrome effects.

Chrome paint is very expensive and difficult to work with...at least according to every professional painter I've chatted with when looking to paint a few kits.

There is a difference between chrome paint and chrome plating though. Actually they're completely different.
