My Foray Into Costuming....

Okay, not really "costuming"...not in the professional sense. This is more a home-made costume from 2001 for my daughter, done in a couple of hours. Though I initially made it for Halloween, I thereafter had her wear it to the 2002 Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC. Despite my mediocre skills here, her persona and tender age made her quite the hit there.

I free-handed the stars and the WW logo, while looking at my WW statue (flying in the clouds) for reference. Obviously, she's out grown it now, but I am going to vacuum seal it and keep it in an HVAC controlled environment so that she can let her (future) daughter use it, perhaps...if the paint holds up.

I think (think, that is) I may have my wife talked into participating in a Justice League costume creation for her, me and the kids...or perhaps we'd go as the Incredibles. She'd make a great Super-girl also, but that seems so overdone. I'd LOVE for her to try on a costume like the awesome Warbird (phenomenal, that is) seen around here recently. We'd do Heroes Con or perhaps the Atlanta Dragon Con (do superhero costumed folks go to that one?).

Thanks for looking...

Anyone else done a little something extra for their kid's for Halloween, so they would look less like they were running around in a hero's pajamas (as in the typical store-bought superhero costume) than his actual costume?

Thanks, Miracole. You're kind to offer your advice. I saw a pic of you in one of your posts in your tender years as WW...you were a performer even then, I'd guess

(BTW, your work is nothing short of phenomenal and inspirational!)
