The irony of the oft sidelined Wonder Woman saving the DCEU and becoming their signature character would be delicious.

I saw this video today. An excellent overview of the DC cinematic universe greatest flaw.

I gave that video about a minute before shutting it off.

"Too dark" - sorry, not everyone craves more of the play it safe, zero stakes, origin story forward, Marvel bubble gum formula. And I say that as someone who by and large enjoys the MCU.

"No character motivation/development" - the only character that has really had a chance to develop so far is Superman and I'd argue he's developed considerably over two films. Maybe not in the manner everyone wants, but he's evolved and his motivation was quite clear only conflicted. WW and Batman have had little more than supporting roles. Jury is still out on how they're handled.

I could go on I'm sure, but like I said, I stopped watching it after a minute or so. Sorry, just seems like more of the same piling on we've heard ad nauseam now. Different strokes for different folks.

I consider it a bummer to find out about this kind of information thanks to the reveal of the merchandise of the film, and the hunger to discover and share every single detail of a movie nowadays.

I'm glad the Trailers haven't spoiled Ares yet.

I thought that video was a fair review of the DC Movies.... Snyder like Michael Bay is great at doing action scenes but he also struggles with stories/characters like Michael Bay does...

Transformer Movies has a lot of the same problems that the DC Movies have and that is the stories are not that great.... If DC wants to turn this ship around they need to get rid of Snyder and Goyer... I think Snyder and Goyer took Nolan's vision of a more serious DC Universe and fumbled the ball... It's a shame Nolan didn't stay around and do the DC Universe like Warner Brothers wanted...
