I wouldn't bid at all. I won't bid on getting a commission done by any artist. The artist can let me know what their commission rates are and I'll either get a piece done at that pricing or I won't. I'm not going to get into a bidding war with people driving the price up to artificially inflated levels just so I can have bragging rights about a signature on a piece of art. As good as AH! is, I've seen many commissions that are equally as good and have been done for far less $$$.

I put the 1001-1250 option. But that'd only be if I had an excessive income and didn't have to budget for art. That'd be the most I could see myself paying for one.

Until I have that kind of money though, I'm good with the $400 option.
