Underworld 5: Blood Wars
Arriving from Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment, Blood Wars continues the story first started way back in 2003 with the original Underworld. It is the fifth movie in this long-running franchise. and it will be in theaters January 6, 2017. In the movie, Selene and her ally David face a new threat as the war between vampires and werewolves rages on.

I checked out after the first one, but this looks more or less like the same formula ala Resident Evil. Anyone else gonna give this a viewing? At age 43, Kate Beckinsale still can rock it in tight leather!

I would say the Resident Evil comparison is certainly true of the last film, but I thought the first 2 were definitely a step above those films.
I'll probably wait for the Blu-ray release of this one. Kate still looks incredible though.

I liked em all, no stinkers in the bunch. The last one did have a noticeably smaller budget, but I liked it.

Looks interesting.
So I guess Michael and her daughter are out of the picture? WTF? Did they pull an Alien 3?

This series has always been about mindless fun just like Residential Evil.... All the scripts have been rather weak but I still enjoy watching them... As for Kate, she looks great for someone in her 40's but I suspect there was probably some digital magic gong on to make her look younger because in that trailer she doesn't look much different from the original movie back in 2003

I was just saying to my wife that there are not enough movies where every single thing in the movie looks blue........

This is opening this weekend. It concerns me a little that the trailer relies partly on footage from past films.
