Vote For Your Favourite Movie of 2016

Vote for your favourite movie of 2016. Choose one movie from the above poll to cast your vote.

Movies in the poll are listed in release date order and there are about 20 movies listed.

If your choice of movie is not listed in the poll, mention the movie in the comments. Also list your other top 5 or 10 favourite movies in the comments.

I still have to catch up to some movies in next couple of days and will finalize my top list after that.

EDIT: Updated

I have seen only 26 movies of 2016 and 16 were in theatres. I still have many movies to catch up to including Silence, Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea.

La La Land is my favourite movie of 2016. It was delightful and moving, while touching upon the universal theme of chasing dreams. Thanks to Damien Chazelle and team who managed to create a movie that would make even some of the skeptics of musicals to embrace it.

My top favourite movies of this year are as follows.

1. La La Land
2. Arrival
3. The Nice Guys
4. Captain America: Civil War
5. Green Room

Honorable Mention (release date order): Zootopia, Deadpool, Everybody Wants Some, The Lobster, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Deadpool gets the slight edge over Cap: Civil War for me. It surprised me how good it was. Still have to see a Rogue One (going next week)

It's not on the list but Moana was my surprise favourite TBH. Enjoyed plenty of trips to the theatre in 2016 with Arrival, Dr. Strange and Fantastic Beasts being highlights.

For smaller budget film it's a toss up between Everybody Wants Some and Sing Street

For bigger budget, it's Star Trek Beyond definitely.

Top 3:

Rogue One
Deadpool
Captain America: Civil War

Star Trek Beyond lost me when they were able to defeat the enemy by
Spoiler
playing rock music....
That killed the movie for me which until then was pretty good.

Batman vs Superman the extended version was pretty good, the pacing was off a bit and it did have that one cringe worthy moment
Spoiler
When Batman and Superman bond over having a mom with the same name
but other than that I thought it was pretty good, maybe not my top 5 but defiantly in my top 10

Suicide Squad just had a terrible script. They should of had lots of dark humor in it but instead we got a movie that tried to be serious with a few jokes by Harley which were not that funny... It's Ironic because the trailer they made for this movie look like it had lots of humor and would be fun to watch.... shows you what editing can do....
