THE JUNGLE BOOK was probably my fave, but these 5 were all up there for me. Haven't seen some of the Golden Globe & (I imagine) upcoming Oscar Best Picture nominees yet so this list could change.

- Jungle Book
- Kubo and the Two Strings
- the Accountant
- Cap: Civil War
- 10 Cloverfield Lane

***Honorable mention to WAR DOGS. ***

Moana should be on this list. Great animated film.

Yeah due to the limit of 20 options I had to cut down lot of the movies including various other animated movies. Wish the forum allowed more than 20 poll entries. I did mention Moana in the 50 movies list in my first post.

Fair point. Just decided to include it since it was a major franchise release despite being lackluster. (Same scenario with Transformer movies being included in the other lists).

Deadpool for me. Ryan Reynolds put so much hard work into making it happen so glad to see him taste success .

Arrival would be my second. Such a fascinating movie . It just blew my mind.

Of the 50 listed films, I got to see:

Hail, Caesar!
Deadpool
The Witch
Green Room
Captain America: Civil War
Neon Demon
Suicide Squad

Hail, Caesar! probably needs another watch. The Witch was good. Green Room was disappointing. Suicide Squad was so, so. Neon Demon over hyped. Captain America: Civil War good but forgettable. Deadpool was the big surprise! thought it was great

Not seen La La Land, i hear it is good

Captain America: Civil War. No question, despite other very strong contenders, this one is tops for me.

I totally know I'm in the minority here with this one but I think the film I enjoyed the most in 2016 was Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Very close runner up would be Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Granted I haven't seen everything on the list but knowing my tastes I'd be shocked if I ended up liking anything else that was released in 2016 more than those two films. The Arrival could possibly rank high for me but I missed it theatrically. Looking forward to seeing it on BD.
