Ikea sell thousands of these worldwide, helps dropping the production cost, specially when you know where and how they make these.
I don't think CC will sell that many.
Now, you can always start building yours, it's not that complicated, but watch out for the balance.

Don't buy it, that is the prototype, the actual model is 1" PVC and it takes 2 sheets to produce the 15 we've made. I don't even cover the labor to pack these....

We may not make anymore than the first 15 I was required to purchase.

You should be able to do it yourself,it's just a few pieces of wood maybe 2.Probably you can do it for 15 bucks or less.Or you can have a carpenter do it in about 30 minutes then you paint.

Well, then do it yourself. I'm not making these for the people that have the ability to cut one out, but the people that want to assemble it in five minutes and get it on display.

If you consider the amount of time it takes to buy 3/4" MDF, cut, sand and paint, ours is way cheaper even at $150.

We ordered 15 at a time and that's what makes these more expensive. Molded in black so no paint needed.

Also a Miter cut on the bottom of the circle that's done by hand.
