But seriously that would be a pretty dumb thing to do - unless the actors were unable to attend. The place is a madhouse during their events so I am not sure why they wouldn't want that PR and publicity.

I think Marvel/Disney are going to try and have their own event much like the last one where they announced all their movies for Phase 3 but this time with fan attendance. Might be a good thing actually as SDCC has become a joke.

You're talking about D23. That's the Disney Con that's been going on for a few years now. It's been every other year on odd numbered years, so there's one this year in August. Anything having to do with Disney is covered here.

I agree. Would be nice if some of the Hollywood hype moved away from the con.

Didn't know there was a Disney con. That would be cool to go to.

It's by no means on the level of SDCC, but if you're into anything to do with Disney it's pretty cool. Now of course they're bringing in more Marvel and Star Wars stuff as well.

I was thinking more along the lines of MarvelCON or some new event. Just for their movies. They could feasibly add Sony and Fox Marvel releases.

A "Comic-Con without Marvel. Just doesn't sit right with me. Seems like with this show, that actual Comic-Books are really starting to be pushed out of the way.
