It probably is but until they start sculpting the prototype they can still tweak it... even if they produce the prototype they can still make changes like how they did with Aquamans portrait..

Was there a lot of complaints about her hair? I thought the original was just fine. I kinda like the original one better after comparing it to the new one. Previous one was "floating in water" and now this new one looks like a strong current or something with it almost standing straight up or looking for more of a "landing" effect.
I'm still eagerly waiting to see the proto painted.

I don’t think they tweaked it. I think it is just the angle.

She goes down to the base with this leg pose. I think the hair works now better for the whole underwater pose.

If she is now floating down onto the base, I think the position of the trident needs to be adjusted too. It being behind her is clumbsy, more out to the side seems logical. Or lose the trident all together. Swap out option

No offense to the people that dig it, but I still find this to be one of the most frustrating sculpt concepts to look at.
Briefly, there are just too many visual cues representing various forces, that are all in opposition to each other, creating a very confused looking piece to me.
Some of this may actually be a conscious attempt at illustrating the effect of a body engaging in a specific action, while being acted upon by the peculiar resistances and forces you'd find under deep water. Even if that is the case though, I just don't think it's successful here.

ITA - it’s just too much stuff going on. Give us a stunning Mera. Maybe there is a way to big have it all going on at once. I have hope XM will do that....like really hope.
