That actually is a very nice Supergirl statue. Very pretty. Too bad the ugly black rod destroys the floating effect.

You'd prefer clear plastic?
I'm not sure how to get around it without leaning concerns.

No, I would prefer no rod at all. It makes it look like a doll stand.

I'd think you'd need a more complex base to allow for a considerable support rod from the foot to affix to the base. Then again, I'm not an engineer on what goes into these.

Possibly. But, then they did something very similar with the Bombshells Supergirl that had a like pose, simple base and no rod.

There's a rod in Bombshell Supergirl foot. I'd have to see the pose of each in person to compare how it effects their respective center of gravity. One thing is those bombshell bases are hefty for their size, this may be on a simple plastic disc.

Same hockey puck base as the Frank Cho WW that you have.
I think the rod is where it needs to be, unlike the Michael Turner Supergirl (which will probably have serious leaning issues).

Well yeah, I know there's a rod in her foot. I just meant there is no visible rod attached to her back like in this Supergirl piece. It's a nice looking piece, I just can't stand visible rods like that.

Agreed... no visible rods... ruins the illusion...
