Depends on your point of view. Its based off the one in Stan Winston Studios, so it has the longer "toes", that are not present on the actor suits (or some of them at least). If you have the book the 'Winston Effect', theres a great shot of it in there. Otherwise, its (IMO) the best Aliens warrior statue out there and far more accurate than the upcoming SS piece, and is the same size if not larger (and less than 1/2 the price!).

It is a nice statue, i used to own it but it was ridiculously fragile, especially the base.

Personally i'd go for this one over the over-priced Sideshow piece.

I think it's overlooked by a lot of Aliens fans. Maybe because of the price? IDK. I think it's very well done. Check out some pics I took of mine here: http://www.pbase.com/linguafoeda_acheronsis

It’s also fairly reasonable $$ wise these days – they were much more a few years back.

It’s a really cool piece, but as others have said the base is super fragile. I have 2 and they both came with damaged bases. I was hoping to make my own base for the second one, but it’s been packed up since I checked it.

Fragile is a tricky word.

It is an intricate and detailed piece, but thats what makes it (and most collectibles) so good. Sure, its not "durable". But its not like you're going to be playing with it. Its a statue, you pull it out of the box (very well packed, btw) and put it in/on a shelf/cabinet/etc (its sits very stable and secure). Your eyes do the rest, so its unlikey you are going to break anything... unless you have laser vision...

Very true. Just keep away from cats/children and you should be fine. If I had to nit-pick, I'd say the base is fairly large, so it kinda takes more room than it should on shelves.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on the pm.

Kaijuboy is right. It's based off of a piece that hung in Stan Winston Studios.

Here's that piece from the studio:

And you can see how accurate it is to the Attakus statue:

I highly recommend this one. It's a great piece and fairly large for the price.
