Day by Day Armageddon and World War Z are awesome!! Absolutely agree about Cell. SK Just can't end books the way he used to anymore and it's sad. Also I am about halfway through The Living Dead. It's a collection of short stories. Has a few stories I didn't like, but overall good stuff!

Combination of two things: he bought into his own hype, and he's gotten too big to edit. Those things combined mean that no book he writes gets "finished" the way that it should.
It's the high cost of success in literature.

That's a pretty good list. I also recommend Plague of the Dead and it's sequel Thunder and Ashes by Z.A. Recht. Brian Keene also released a more traditional zombie book called Dead Sea which I enjoyed. There's also a book called Eden that I liked. Can't recall the author.
Have to admit that WWZ bored the hell out of me. The most over rated zombie book out there.

I liked it. No true horror moments, but a nice, fresh approach, i.m.o.. although I can see where you could be bored. Last Halloween I listened to the audio version and had fun. Mark Harmon, Carl and Rob Ryner, Alan Alda ... all were voice actors on the recording. Max Brooks played the reporter. I used to think this would make an excellent film, but now I'd really like to see Daybreak Armegeddon filmed. That would make for a killer zombie flick.
I'm gonna give Keene another shot w/ Dead Sea. You are a brother of the Zom, after all.

FINALLY, after years of waiting, the sequel to Bourne's Day by Day, Armageddon is being released. Amazon has it listed for a July shipping.
As I stated in this threads 1st post, Day by Day, Armegeddon is the best Zombie book out there, i.m.o.. Can't wait to see what happens to the gang next.
