Seven days, three cons....

Figured I should upload some pics I've been holding out a lot on you guys...

So last month I found myself in a strange situation where there was a con in Perth, Australia the same week as Heroes in Charlotte and one week before Oz Comic Con here in Melbourne.

With Cheung heading to Perth, Wrothy's hometown, he and his lovely wife went above and beyond and used Shanan's spot in the line to get me a piece! Well, my mind got working and I contacted Peter Nguyen, another guest to see if he could start a piece, and pending Shanan's request, have Jim contribute the other half

Without further ado:

That same weekend, a heap of the SFers were at Heroes Con, and my great mate Bill had offered to gopher around for me

He took my X-Men jam to both Scott Hanna and Mark Dos Santos for contributions

Gifted me this really cool Hawkeye sketch cover by Ron Salas and some more Sara Richard goodness

And picked up my Charles Paul Wilson III Watercolor masterpiece

Then the next weekend, was Oz Comic Con here in Melbourne!
I was blessed enough to once more get to spend quiet, quality time chatting with the one and only Stan Lee which I will cherish forever...

But I also managed to meet and be charmed by Sir Patrick Stewart, as detailed here

http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=129444

But for those against DDCÃ-ng here is the pic, without the cool story

Stan signed my Uminga piece, and a truckload of comics for me, here are but a few

Finally got to meet Jason Palmer, and he sold me this stunning Phoenix piece

Now for a few Watercolor commissions, from literally the most friendly artist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Agnes Garbowska was just a joy, my wife an I commissioned her to do us two piece, one of Lila Cheney, who we named our daughter after, and the other I gave her various options and she asked if she could surprise us at the con with her choice and her cutesy idea. She just knocked this outta the park IMO! Agnes asked our permission to turn the Thor Loki into her next print!

Also got this in my signature book

And my wife swooped on Agnes' prints

Fantastic haul Rodney!

Great to catch up with you and Steph again, and meet Lila for the first time. And as you know mate, it's never a problem to lend a fellow collector a helping hand.

Awesome haulage Rod! Was wondering when you would get around to posting all this stuff, I saw some of it being worked on at OzCC.

Cheung's Havok is just as mind blowing as the other stuff he did here in Oz, the man is gifted.

How cool is Lila's pose and smile in the Patrick Stewart photo? Cute kid!

Yardin's Quicksilver is top notch, when I saw it being worked on I thought he might have been getting carried away with size again (like your Wolverine on the X-Men jam) but it looks perfectly proportioned now that I see the whole thing.

Classic stuff mate!

Gosh man, I don't know what I like the most. Your jam is coming along beautifully, the cpw3, again, is fantastic, but maybe the nguyen/cheung piece is my fav. I've got something from them both, their work is unprecedented. Brilliant job man. How's the bank account after all that?

Thanks Steve! I actually just confirmed (and already paid) with Bob Layton to add Iron Man in there! I think he'll go next to Hawkeye....Already planning a new page!
