OK...try pulling the needle (loosen the needle chuck, slide the needle out), cleaning it, then reinsert the needle and tighten the needle chuck until you see the needle move back and forth when you pull back on the trigger.

Works now, thanks! I guess I didn't tighten the needle chuck properly after I took the needle out to clean it. Boy do I feel dumb.

Just to chime in late on this... but I too had the problem of an over tighten chuck preventing the needle from moving freely issue also in the past!
Felt stupid when I figured that the needle didn't move because I over tightened it.
I have to second the W&N Brush Restorer for cleaning your AB. Been using for half a year now and does a great job.
