I watched "Lives of Others" on recommendation by Bat Collector and also loved it. Very good movie.

Oblivion - 9/10

I went into this film knowing full well the visuals would be stunning but had been hearing a lot of people say the narrative was weak and unoriginal. Well I couldn't disagree more. I find it funny how if you're not reinventing the wheel so to speak in the Sci-Fi genre then your narrative is somehow cliche. This was a great film, easily the best I've seen in 2013 so far. Not only was it beautiful to look at but I was thoroughly engaged and invested in the characters. Lots of cool twists and turns right up until the end.

I can safely say you're going to LOVE it. Opinions on this film remind me much of how Kosinski's TRON: Legacy was received.

Completely agree with your review Scott, saw it last night and would rate it the same. It was an 8 for me leaving the theater but thinking about it overnight I've upped it to a 9. I saw it in IMAX and must say it was worth the extra $$ to see it on that huge screen. Kosinski is 2 for 2 in my book, can't wait to see what's next from him.

EVIL DEAD - 7.5 out of 10

I thought it was a good movie, characters needed more depth but it was still fun. Anyone that enjoyed the original will like this one.

Glad you guys enjoyed oblivion. I just loved the art direction on this movie. It will be interesting to see JKs nonsci-fi movie.
